Pahalgam Attack
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has returned to India leaving his two-day visit to Saudi Arabia midway in the wake of the deadly terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. PM Modi was to return to New Delhi on Wednesday night after completing the tour, but after the attack he has made this change in his visit. "Prime Minister @narendramodi concludes his state visit to Saudi Arabia and departs for India," the Ministry of External Affairs said in a post on X. The attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, killed 30 people, most of whom were holidaymakers from other states.
This is the deadliest attack in the valley after the Pulwama attack in 2019. Upon landing at the airport, he held a meeting with NSA Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary and External Affairs Minister Jaishankar and took a briefing on the entire incident. After this, PM Modi will hold a high-level meeting with several officials and ministers.

PM Modi will hold a high level meeting on this attack in a short while. Many senior security officials are expected to attend the meeting. It is also being speculated that he may also know the condition of the injured on phone after the meeting. According to reports, PM Modi has been keeping an eye on the entire incident since the beginning of the attack.
This attack took place in Pahalgam on Tuesday afternoon, where 5 to 6 terrorists opened fire on the tourists visiting Pahalgam. About 30 people died in this attack and dozens are injured. Security agencies are conducting a campaign to catch the terrorists, while the special team of NIA has also reached Srinagar. This attack is being considered the biggest attack in the valley after Pulwama.
